Dear Colleagues, We are excited to confirm that, South Africa, through the School of Governance (Wits University) and the National Department of Public Service and Administration will host the International Conference on Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance (ICEGOV) in 2024 under the theme, “Trust and Ethical Digital Governance for the World We Want.” The conference is maintained and coordinated by the United Nations University Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV), headquartered in the city of Guimarães, Portugal. To this end, interested parties are invited to make paper submissions.

Wits University, through the Tayarisha Research Group, based at the Wits School of Governance, signed an agreement with The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) to host the ICESCO Chair for the study of Innovation and Futures in Africa.

On the 14th of July 2023, Inaugural Graduates for the Civic Tech Innovation Executive short course graduated at a convening of friends and Family at the Wits School of Governance Executive Education July Graduation Cohort held at the Linden Auditorium (Wits Education Campus). The WSG and Tayarisha are excited for the next cohort of students. The anticipated commencement of the next cohort is February 2024.
