This Lab represents the strategic investment in the company's future through innovation. Telkom’s investment is augmented by diverse capabilities and expertise from across its subsidiaries and business units - BCX, Gyro, Swiftnet, Openserve, Telkom Consumer and Small Business.

Being a business-linked R&D centre, the lab is set upon the Telkom Group strategy and is presented with unlimited innovation opportunities enabled by the Group’s wealth of resources and infrastructure. 

As a research-intensive university, Wits is tasked to create:

• New knowledge - research
• Share that knowledge - teach, and
• Use that knowledge for good – innovate.
