Geography honours

Geography is a diverse and integrative discipline that bridges the natural and social sciences. At Wits, the Honours in the field of Geography is taught by a team of academics who are passionate about their research and the topics they teach.

The Honours Degree in Geography can be undertaken as a BA Hons Geography or a BSc Hons Geography. Both programmes have the same entry requirement, and have identical curricula. You can apply for the BSc Hons or the BA Hons with either a BA or BSc undergraduate. As a result, we encourage applicants to carefully consider which faculty is better suited to their future careers, and apply for either the BA Hons or BSc Hons, but not both.
